TIME TO GO FERAL

1,218 MILES (1,960 KM)
SELF SUPPORTED
30000M ASCENT
15 DAYS
SOLO

Crikey she's a biggie! 2000km with 30,000m of climbing - The mighty Lands End to John o 'Groats (Great British Divide) on my bike.

Should take around 2 weeks in June, by myself, self-supported and carrying everything except the kitchen sink on my bike.

This route is meant to be the most remote off-road riding but still with a good mixture of road, gravel, singletrack and everything in-between following the most direct natural line possible. I'll get to see several National Parks, areas of outstanding Natural Beauty and some big old mountain ranges and no doubt sleep in many bus stops along the way.

This one isn't for charity and I was going to be silly and see how fast I can do it, but I really want to just enjoy it and immerse myself in the adventure.

I'am looking for any route advice especially around Manchester areas as ideally I don't want to ride straight through the centre...Peak District instead?

This route is from the chaps at The Racing Collective, I would like to tweak it a little to get a bit more off-road in (but non of the rubbish stuff please). Any tweaks? See route here.

I'll keep you updated on bike setup and training over the next few months, so check back on here.
