How do the sliding dropouts work?

This unique detachable dropout system allows you to run a ‘standard’ setup with gears, Singlespeed or an Alfine type geared hub.

The chain stay length of these models is designed to work best with Slideout fully forward (as supplied) and we would recommend only running Slideout in this position unless single speeding or moving rear wheel back to create better tyre clearance.Slideouts are detachable and designed to bend under extreme load to save frame from bending forces if you crash.

Where are Pace frames made?

All Pace frames are designed, developed, engineered and tested entirely by us at our base in North Yorkshire, UK.Our founder - Adrian Carter - is the lead designer and engineer, and our frames are rigorously ride tested by everyone at Pace.

They are fully certified and lab tested in excess of the requirements of ISO4210 safety standards.

This frame is hand made in Europe by our specially selected framebuilder, chosen because of their vast experience with our favourite materials, and their top quality finish.

The frames are phosphate treated for corrosion protection and then painted to the highest quality including a protective clear coat, before extensive QC by the factory.

Once the frames reach us in the UK, we carry out further QC, and prep the frames for headset and bottom bracket installation.
